With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and includes a piece of one of his cars.
The special model can be ordered as a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. The 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. The influence of the car can be observed in the cabin. For instance the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet features an exhibit with a portion of the 8 Litre crankshaft displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in an air vent in the shape of a B on the chrome application through the back of the vehicle. The front grille is designed after 1930s-appropriate Onyx and there's an additional chrome-colored application on the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille also features a unique design, with a chrome shell replacing the body-colored mesh of the Mulsanne. It also has the Flying B Logo.
The key box is decorated with Bentley wings and is fitted with a black flock lining. Individual key pouches can be bought to match or contrast the key box. The set commemorative also includes a bespoke 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and a flying 'B' paperweight, plus an unpublished brochure with images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.

The key fob's metal-tometal knurling mimics the texture of the interior including the temperature controls and shift knob. Van Braekel says, "We wanted to make the knurling as uniform and stylish" as possible. It was crucial to keep the size and shape of the fob uniform.

Almost 400,000 stitches deliver Bentley's signature diamond-indiamond quilting throughout the entire cabin. In addition, the mood lighting can be adapted to suit different moods.
Outside illuminated treadplates, clocks with brushed silver are available as standard. The new 22in wheels feature self-levelling Bentley logos. Customers can also request a custom Bentley logo laser-etched onto the rear fixing in homage to the 1930 8 Litre W.O. The car was inspired by the 1930 8-liter W.O.
